Lawyer for the Legal Unit

The Riksdag Administration is an authority tasked with facilitating the work of the Riksdag. Approximately 750 politically neutral employees work at the Riksdag Administration with many different types of tasks.

Do you have experience in legislative work and in driving forward work on legally complex issues? Do you want to work with support and advice in administrative law matters? We are now looking for a qualified lawyer for the legal unit.

Your Tasks

Within the Riksdag Administration, there is ongoing work to develop the forms for producing regulations for the Riksdag authorities and the Riksdag Board's proposals for legislation. As a legal officer, you will be an important part of this work. Your tasks will also include legal advice, including on issues related to the disclosure of public documents, procurement, and data protection. The work mainly concerns administrative law and the regulations regarding Riksdag authorities and members, but it also includes other areas of law such as constitutional law and contract law.

Your Qualifications

You should be a qualified lawyer, preferably with experience in performing tasks that may occur in a role as a legal officer, and have at least a few years of experience in legislative work, for example in a role with principal responsibility. Particularly meritorious is court experience, preferably as a court of appeal or administrative court assessor. It is also advantageous if you have experience in driving and managing projects.

In the role, it is required that you are meticulous and have very good analytical and stylistic ability. You have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new tasks, to organize and structure work, as well as to set goals and meet deadlines. You make necessary priorities and meet high demands for legal skill. You have a well-developed communicative ability with a high linguistic analytical ability, understand complex linguistic materials, and can produce high-quality texts.

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a person, we see that you are secure and stable and have self-awareness and integrity. You have good judgment, are service-oriented, and have a good ability to collaborate with your colleagues and other stakeholders within and outside the Riksdag Administration. You should also find it easy to express yourself pedagogically in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The position is classified in a security class, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a successful security clearance.
